Hey guys, it's Sunday and I'm particularly excited because the video music awards is holding today, and the Emmy tomorrow. So, today I'll drop a poem and a write up from my friend Ibukun Abegunde. so sit back, relax and enjoy. I didn't get any email from anybody about what makes them happy though, ill be expecting them. Also, my friend Hakeem dropped his song yesterday. You'll find the link below, please download and enjoy. Uhm I really need your feed back so a comment won't hurt. :D . Today's poem.
Move pen, move
so many words have been said
so many voices have shouted so many people have spilled their blood
so many tears have been shed
blood and tears. Same level of pain shared.
I'm just a lone cry in pitch darkness
a low muffled sound 'a cry hitched by tears and despair and sorrow and shame
I in crying out this last time
hoping someone will hear me
hear my cry for help
the tears have stopped coming the Wells are dry
I've stopped believing
hope is a bastard
freedom has become an illusion, a mirage
I'm still thirsty
hear me
hear my plea
hear my cry
with the last drop of blood in me
I urge you
move pen, move
people are dying
maybe the words your Ink form will be redemption
maybe it will spark change
move pen, please
I almost going
the light is waning
I have lost hope in humanity but maybe it can be saved
maybe all the blood that's been spilled can be waived
maybe we can start again
the blows have been dealt
but our world still stands resplendent in glory.
what's glory in gory eyes and a bleeding mouth
what's the joy in living in a cave where thousands hope for death
there's no where to run to, this madness is everywhere
move pen move, hurry
give life to my thoughts
boom. Boom!
Those are the only sounds I hear
they are overshadowing my cry
no one hears me
my voice is growing weaker
my soul is about to give in
I want to join the quiet ones
who have accepted this monster in our midst.
move pen, move
you're my only chance to cry
the wind can't erase your ink
neither can a million rivers wash it away
time can't fade this paper.
go.
I hope you liked that? Now this is Ibukun ' s write up. Enjoy
POURQUIO ?
why do you need experience to get a job when really you need a job to get experience.
-the worst thing is you need 4-5 years worth of experience
WHY
Why would an 18 year old leave high school with 8,9,10 subjects, then they need a degree to be employed but they don't need a degree to vote.
so due to financial constraints, many individuals stay home because mommy and daddy cant afford the tuition fees .
when we really don't understand more often why,why is it that age aconsent is 16 but if your not 18 you cant vote or have a drivers license,so the only benefit of being age aconsent is to have sex, and then we all gonna see a man criticize teenage pregnancy.
you only see a man get on the streets just to sell a bag of weed or weasler
WHY?
why do human right's pretend to protect the human right's when many other humans dont know their right's until they are in front of the judge and about to be sentenced for life.
Why are my sisters being deprived of the numerous benefits in the society because of her geographical back ground.
shes been stigmatized to posses low quality because of her low quality.
why should a child be suspended from school for loud and ruthless behavior when that's a regular practice in parliament.
why should a child suffer because he or she cant solve an equation and doesn't know the value of X.
that child didn't get the opportunity to compete for his school in sports because he failed to remember the little devices in an exam and still doesn't understand subject verb agreement.
But if everyone cant go through high school, and everybody cant go to the university, their future now relys on their talents,or as a wise man would say "J O B" Just Over Broke.
While the police is to serve and protect but we are not being protected by their service, with the tv getting to messed up with police brutality.
but why is it always a shoot out.
why do you criticize bleaching, when you feel bad when they call you black and ugly, then you say your not racist.
then you say your black and your proud but you call another man black and ugly.
I've never heard anyone say "you're white and you're ugly"
But the truth is,black is not a complexion,so lets change the mindset, lets set our mind for a change, lets try our best, even if your best is not good enough.
but only if your best could be better and your stress would be lesser, I'm going to be the change i want in Nigeria today, but does Nigeria want the change?.
So why are we exposing girls on social media, and why are girls so social in the media.
The tourist come and relaxes, while we face the taxes,we pay the taxes but that's not where the impact is. just look at the ratio between the wages and how high the cost is, lets look at the does and the dont's,the rules and the roles, the ones who are in the roles set the rules but doesn't meet the roles.
so its like a chapter with a pack of feuds.
we often hear that our children are the future but the future doesn't depend on our children, the future depends on what has been implemented. just to top it off a little, i strongly believe that education is the key to success, but what is education? is it the PhD,the degrees,
or just being knowledgeable. don't judge the book by a cover, but at least read the back of the book so that you can at least have an idea of what is inside.
